When I'm not shooting weddings

Just in case anyone's interested: When I'm not engaged in wedding and other types of social photography I'm a fairly serious landscape photographer among other things. When I get the chance I like to travel to different parts of the UK and other European countries looking for photo opportunities.

I love the work of guys like Joe Cornish, David ward and Charlie Waite, though on an aspirational and inspirational basis rather than an influential basis (if I claimed that they'd probably sue).

I guess I'm not really so much of a big vistas man - more of a form and design sort of punter really. I look for shapes, balance, structure, textures and rhythms in the scenes I photograph. I also like to look into the details of the landscape, teasing out those unnoticed forms and ignored relationships. Not particularly Lounge Wall stuff really, but I really do enjoy the challenge of this sort of work and it's really helped to educate my eye.
